What happens when you take 3 of my FAVORITE things in the world, (Houses, Money, and Pinterest) and mash them together? You get the Homes.com Pin It if you Love It Contest!

2 1/2 years ago when Court andΒ  were house hunting I was on the MLS constantly. I even had a notebook that I wrote notes about houses that I liked. Now with the life changing invention of Pinterest it will be SO much easier to remember what you liked and didn’t about a space.

Homes.com is famous for their FAB contests and today is no exception. blog-photo

  1. Thinking of unsubscribing as others I know have. The blog is getting too wrapped up with money making via product placement & giveaways πŸ™ It is taking away from the goodness that was vintage revivals & putting off the vibe of “how much can I cram in to make more $$$.” Sad πŸ™

    1. OK Mr./Mrs. Anonymous if you feel the need to unsubscribe to the blog just do it don’t need to tell everyone about it, plus would you like to do a job where you didn’t get paid?!! Even if you do love your job you still have to put food on the table and pay for ballet classes. The fact that you love your job is just a bonus cuz few people get to do what the love. Now just go back to your unhappy world and leave the rest of us alone! Geez. That is my tidbit of the day. πŸ™‚

    2. Hey Anonymous… You are more than welcome to go invest your time and energy into a blog each and every day “Free Of Charge”… we certainly wont stop you.

The only sad thing I see here is an unsupportive follwer. Shame on you.

    3. I, for one, really appreciate Mandy’s willingness to share all the tips and info. that lets us in on the ways you can benefit from blogging and using the internet. It’s called networking, building support, giving back, and mentoring…all positive things. And you can’t expect her just to stay in the box you’ve created in your mind for her…she’s far too creative for that. I say you’ve got a good mix on your blog Mandy. Go ahead and unsuscribe “anon”…that just eliminates one person from getting in the way of someone winning who’d appreciate it πŸ™‚

  2. Haters gonna hate! I love your blog and admire people who find a way to get paid to do what they love.

  3. Ummm…I call doing what you love and making money off it “Pretty Freaking Amazing!”

Thanks for sharing Mandi. Keep doing what your doing!

  4. what a great contest! i already started a board and have two up! i love looking at real estate, we just bought our third house in three years last fall (we’re actually LIVING in this one…) so obviously i have a great time checking stuff out! thanks for the heads up!

  5. I say two things…first Anonymous? hmmm, cowardly. Secondly, just unsubscribe…no one is begging you to visit. This is all about personal pleasure. Positive energy. Move on….

  6. I wish I could have an awesome blog that helped pay bills while I stayed home with my little ones. Keep up the awesome work!!!

  7. I actually like giveaway, and I have won a few things from multiple blogs. I think Mandi has a great balance on her blog!

  8. Sharing with others a tip on how to enter a contest to potentially get them a prize is helpful… And in no way hurting anyone or anything!!! If someone doesn’t like a post, then they should just skip reading it… Dah it’s not like it’s hard to do. Lol… It took them more time to write a nasty note than it would have for them to just move on.. When blogging it is like sharing information with all of your besties… It’s your blog so share away… And if you do make a few dollars in the process. Awesome! Good for you. I think all bloggers should! Keep up the great work and providing fun stuff… Blessings, Diana

  9. dude, this is amazing!! i wish it had been around when we were house-hunting.
after i pin some houses i love, i think i will pin a few “don’t be a doofus, anonymous” e-cards. love what you do!!

  10. Doing a great job Mandi! I hope you SO make extra $$ on the side – you put a lot of hard work into your blog and it shows πŸ™‚ And I LOVE that you give us gals a shot at winning something great. If “anonymous” doesn’t like winnning, she doesn’t have to play. Thank you Mandi – you are freakin’ awesome πŸ™‚

  11. WOW!! Well I love ya and your blog! And some people are obviously just jelly:) Just keep doing what you’re doing cuz you’re AMAZING! Love ya!!!!!

  12. Blogging is a great way to earn money while not working in a more traditional setting…who wouldn’t want to work from home, explore their creative side, and earn a nice tidy little living? You have a great talent, blogging isn’t just writing a little article or sharing a painting tip or decorating idea. BLogging takes some serious know how to keep readings visiting and sharing with friends. And those ads and product announcements? That’s paying your salary and making your name and blog well known in the social networking arena. Haters just don’t understand, but me? I love your guts!!

  13. I LOVE this post! Thanks so much for sharing. We are currently saving for a house so this will keep me motivated to save those pennies =) Love your guts Mandi, you rock!

  14. Mandi – I recently found your blog through another blog I read and I love it! In scrolling through reader today, I found a link to an invite for FAB from Kara Paslay’s website – can’t get the link to copy for some reason… Anyhow, I signed up for an account and when browsing through their current sales, I found this:
    https://fab.com/sale/3113/product/62755/

I immediately thought of you and wanted to share!

    Have a happy day!

  15. Would like to know just how much do bloggers make, anyway? Keep up the good work, Mandi, and post more pictures!!!

  16. I think the more the merrier & if you can make a living at it(it’s not illegal) especially while raising kids “Do it”. I love following all the bloggers with their amazing ideas for decorating, money making, money saving tips. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Times are hard & every little bit helps all of us survive this tough world. I have made some wonderful friends & received such amazing encouragement from those bloggers. I am grateful, don’t give up what you do, sometimes what you say may make one’s day. πŸ™‚
