Updates on All of the Things

By Mandi 11/03/2014

Hey Guys!!  I hope you had an awesome weekend, I cant handle the fact that it is already November.  Yesterday was the first really chilly day that we’ve had and I would have enjoyed it so much more if I wasn’t outside working in it!

We have T minus 3 days to get the Nugget finished.  Wednesday is the day, and I feel like we just might make it!!

The plan was to paint the exterior before we installed the windows and door.  But Mother Nature had a different plan. We couldnt paint because of the rain/wind the last 2 days, so instead of sitting around looking out the window and wishing for sun,  we decided to put them both on.  It is crazy how much adding the windows changes the look of the interior, its super retro-y with the aluminum and I love it SO.MUCH.  The weather is supposed to be good from here on out, so today and tomorrow are painting days.

Vintage Trailer Door

I have been waiting MONTHS to see how awesome this door/knob situation was going to turn out and it is better than I could have hoped for.  Little details (like the hexagon knob) are what really makes the whole thing come together.  And it doesn’t hurt that the door is to die for.

I’ve also finished the light and plant shelf, and I LOVE them so so much!!

Northern Utah gals, you get to see it first at Pinners Conference. (if you come use the code VINTAGEREVIVALS and you will get $5 off.  You can even use it at the door if you are not the ticket ordering type!)  The Nugs and I can’t wait to meet you!

Ashy’s room is FINISHED!  I just need to shoot it!  I know I seem to say this every time, but it’s my favorite room makeover to date.  Here is a little sneak peek for ya:

Ok!  Time for me to get my painting pants on and get to work!  See you tomorrow!!

  1. How have I just discovered your trailer? We’ve spent the last two summers fixing up trailers (1 each year). Not my favorite thing in the world but last year’s trailer didn’t work for our family so had to get a different trailer for this year. I can’t wait to see what you do for curtains and upholstery. That’s all I’ve got left to do on ours. Also THANK YOU for not doing a floral trailer. We’re a family of boys so I love all the inspiration out there but my family was not going to sleep in a kotex box (my husband’s words not mine). Love what you’ve done and we just took our trailer to Sand Hollow over UEA and had a blast.

  2. I wish I could come meet you! I’ll be next door at the Adventure Gear Expo, but might try to sneak over. 🙂

  3. Holy cow. I didn’t realize you were on such a deadline for the Nugs. Looking back it’s amazing how much work you’ve done in such a short period of time. Definitely a bar-raiser in the DIY world! Also, I can’t believe you finished Ashy’s room while working on the Nug- I have definitely been looking forward to seeing that room makeover, so I’m stoked. Congrats on two huge projects close to being completed!

  4. The planter is amazing. That doorknob is so ridic. Whatever I’m seeing on the Nugget’s tabletop = yes. I’m in love with that emerald sofa. And that rope weaving in the closet door. Sigh. I still remember doing that with lines in junior high artwork. Love.

  5. Whoa!! I forget you live in Utah sometimes. (It seems like most bloggers never live by me) I think I’ll hit up the conference this weekend then! (Even at the risk of being the only dude there, I don’t care haha)

  6. Love your blog and this little nugget transformation – it’s become a new fave on the blog roll!
I have to ask where in the world did you get that beautiful hexagon doorknob?????
I’m dying for something geometric and amazing exactly like it. Please share!

  7. Hi Mandalicious. I’ve been following your blog for a few years and never marvel at your creativity. I was wondering if you could give some suggestions on where you buy all the awesome plants and succulents!!? That cactus I believe that’s next to the awesome diamond in your sister in law’s room- I LOVE IT! Do you happen to know the species??
    Thanks again!!!!!
