I LOVE the bison. Earlier this year I bought Kevin Russ’ photograph “Street Walker” and I’ve been in full buffalo appreciation mode ever since!

There’s an artist that shows up at our ‘family reunion’ powwow (ie not open to the public). He makes these buffalo silhouettes out of some kind of metal that ends up looking sort of rainbowy like an oil slick, and there are all different shapes, about 10 inches high. Anyway, a couple of years ago, I finally saved up for one, and now he lives in the hall and has been christened Frybread.
I have a funny story that includes a girl (me), a missionary, a dear john, and a bison that I’ll have to share with you sometime.
Bison gets my vote – every time.
This is too funny! My sister-in-law and I were just reviewing all the ‘it’ animals… we put whales on the list too! And speculating on the next big thing… I’d be down with bison.

I can’t seem to get the link to work for the downloadable bison print (never mind that I’m two years late to the party!) The colors and design would go perfectly in my daughter’s room that I am currently overhauling. Help please!!
