You’re Making Me Blush

By Mandi 10/09/2013

I have recently become a bit preoccupied with a new favorite color.

I wasnt aware of the fact that this was even happening, until I was looking at my bank statement and thinking of all of the things that I have bought recently and there was one common thread.

Blush.

Nude Blush.

I present for your consideration my dress in Exhibit A (that is actually a lot lighter and more blushy before Instagram got a hold of it):

My new favorite lip color thanks to my Maskcara Makeover as Exhibit C:

Not to mention all of the blush that went on in Cara’s Office (we can just call that Exhibit D-R):

So what is with it?  I just dont know.  But I am obsessed.  And I am itching to do a fun project with it and take my obsession into a full blown disease.

I am dying to know what your favorite color is right now,  I was riding the Hot Pink bandwagon for a minute, and before that Green was my go to.  But now?  Be still my blushing heart.

  1. Blush is a great color – I’m obsessed with pale coral (I guess that could be considered blush??) and lighter shades of turquoise right now.

  2. I have to join the blue bandwagon. I’m loving indigo right now. I tend to lean toward pastel and neutral in the summer and color, color, color in the fall/winter.

  3. Could “vintage” be my favorite color?! Haha
Obsessed with anything and everything vintage with there vintage-y colors!

  4. Aqua. Turquoise. Greenish Blue. Whatever you want to call it in whatever shade it comes – that’s what ends up everywhere without even trying. I love that color.

  5. I am also a big fan of blush (such a great neutral!), but my heart will always belong to turquoise.

  6. I love GREEN at the moment. I hope this moment will last, well at least a year, because I’ve painted half of the living room green 🙂 Before green it was red. But I have my forever favorite – cyclamen pink.

  7. I’m crazy about navy right now. I’ve always loved navy and white but I’ve ventured into navy and lime, navy and orange, navy and gray, navy and plum…it goes on and on. It is such a flexible, crisp, clean color. I love it and it doesn’t look like I’m getting tired of it for a while.

  8. I’m loving GOLD right now, so much so that I’d love to redo all the fixture like the door knobs and faucets in vintage gold but that would be crazy, and expensive. I’m obsessed with light pink ,or nude blush as you call it, (perfecto name by the way) and vintage gold together. Purses, shoes, clothes, lamps, art, furniture whatever.:) I’m jumping off the turquoise omnibus too. Oh and I am loving emerald green. Now I just gotta incorporate those into my decor…

  9. Navy for me. I can’t get enough of it in my house or in my wardrobe. It’s a great fall/winter color and can be paired with tons of other colors. My favorites right now are orange and lime green.

  10. Aqua/turquoise! I painted a bit fat stripe of it around my living room. I’m loving it right now!

  11. I’ve got a trio going on in my home: autumn rose (ya know, roses that have started to wilt and dry get this fabulous rich pinkish color); deep, dark blue (like the deepest part of the ocean!), and shiny brass/gold. I’ve decided to stop fighting these color urges and just go with it!

  12. Blush is the best! It’s neutral and feminine at the same time. I still LOVE that canvas that you did for Cara’s office- I really need to try it out!!

  13. I thought you were going to say brass. and I was saying to the computer ME TOO!! Brass, brass is my jam right now. Love those tables you showed. Blush is awesome too. But I’m a pale pale girl, so blush makes me look naked and that’s generally all the further I get .. .

  14. I am obsessed with Grey. I saw a wall at Car and Driver Magazine that was grey-5 years ago and I have been obsessed every since. I realize it is super trendy right now but I was in love before the world took notice and it hasn’t slowed down my love one bit.

  15. I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t have a set favorite color. I always hate the favorites q&a because I never have a favorite of anything, and if I do, it probably won’t last long. I’m loving pastels mixed with deep colors right now…hunter green with lavender, mint and burgundy, blush and charcoal…such a pretty contrast!
