What Nate Berkus Has Done For Bloggers

By Mandi 02/23/2012

*Make sure to tune into Nate on MONDAY (Feb 27th) to see my latest episode!

When I look back on the year and 1/2 long journey that Vintage Revivals has taken me on I marvel at the things that have changed for me, all because I started a blog.

At the very top of the List Of Amazing Things That Have Happened Because of My Blog That Make Me Want To Cry I Love Them So Much (what? It’s a working title….) is having the opportunity to go on The Nate Show.

Nate Show

I mean in what world would something like this ever happen to a SAHM from a small town in UTAH?

But that is exactly what Nate and his amazing staff have done for SO many bloggers. They gave us a platform to share our homes with the country. And we had the chance to feel like what we were creating was important.

Nate is one of the most sincere, kind and postive people that I have ever met.

His staff is hands down 1000000% amazing. They work so hard and are SO great at what they do. (LOVE YOU GUYS! XOXO)

Nate has given me something that few others could. Being on his show gave me the confidence to really embrace who I am and create from my heart. Daily it shows EVERYONE that watches that you don’t have to live in a great place like NY or LA,  or spend thousands on pillows,  or be a “professional” interior designer to be able to create the home that you want.

Because of his show, I had the chance to go somewhere I never thought I would have the chance to go. Being in New York opened my eyes to something I had never experienced before and I will FOREVER be in gratitude or these things.

So thank you Nate and the wonderful staff that have become my friends.

And thank you for changing the way that the world sees bloggers.

UPDATE:

Just got an email from a reader (thanks Staci!) that a mini clip is up on Nates site! Watch the teaser here!

Love  Your  Guts,  Mandi

  1. Such a beautiful post. I also like the working title ha! I started to DVR after I heard you were on it. I love him. I love all his fun segments, and all the people he introduces. My favorites are the home prides though.

  2. I’m SO sad that the show was canceled!! It was one of the only mid-day shows that wasn’t trash. He has such a great personality & is so creative

  3. When we live our calling to create or be whatever it is, we achieve all things thought impossible.

  4. Nate is on perma-DVR. So, I’ll be *seeing* you on Monday 🙂 His “House Proud” segment is exactly what design/decor TV should be about. Inspiration through real folks making houses their homes. Love your guts, right back. – Dharma

  5. I agree. I’ve watched Nate for ever (since Oprah) and have tivo’d his show since it started. I think he’s done such an amazing job finding “normal” people from all around the country doing extraordinary things. I love Nate!

  6. I love the Nate show and it has gotten so much better from when he started. I saw you on his show as well as other blogger that Nate has on the show. Congrats to you because most of the time, it’s believing in yourself that is the biggest battle in making all your dreams come true.

I can’t believe he won’t be on, I enjoy his show so much. Is there anything we all can do to get it to stay on? I can’t believe he doesn’t have enough viewers. I will be watching you on Monday. Maybe you can ask him some of these questions. Thanks for your blog.

  12. I can’t wait to see you on TV again! I’s super stoked to see what you’ll be sharing. You’ll be awesome, I’m sure- 🙂

  13. I am so bummed out that Nate’s show has been canceled. I’ve learned more from him about making my home the space I want it to be than from all the book and magazines I’ve read combined. I will be tuned in on Monday to see what “it’s all about”.

  14. Dear Mandi — LOVED your segment on Nate today, you are truly talented! I would love to be your friend so you could help me with MY house. As your friend, though, you MUST stop saying AMAZING! Really, it’s like crazy. I’ll get you a thesaurus.

We’ve never met before but I knew I recognized you yesterday while watching the show. You are my fellow Studio 5 contributor!! You did awesome yesterday on the show and you are literally living my dream to be on the Nate Show. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll make it on there since this is his last season! 🙁 But awesome job, I’m jealous! And I loved all your ideas!
