Hailee’s Living Room Makeover Reveal

By Mandi 10/07/2011

Hailee is one of my friends turned Bestie For Life (on account of practically living together the last 2.5 weeks…)  She had just got new couches and asked if I would help her rearrange her furniture….that was the understatement of the century. And she sort of had no idea what she was getting herself into.

This is the before:

There are SO many awesome projects that I cant wait to share with you guys! Here are a few of my favorites:

Can anyone guess what is on that old yard sale dresser? It starts with a PVC and ends with Pipe.

The before on this lamp is crazy. I covered the shade in yarn and gave it an Ombre effect, which I am sort of obsessed with right now.

I also used an Ombre technique on the rug. Its hard to tell because it looks like the couch is making a shadow on it, but really the hounds tooth is fading in and then back out

One of my FAVORITE projects is the curtains. The rod is made out of rope and eyehooks. One end is tied in a fat knot and the other end is secured onto a rope cleat.

Did you notice that we built shelves in the open window in the wall? Huge holes like that can be such a waste of space. By filling it in with open shelving you still have the open feel but you can decorate! Holla!!

We have some Hanging Basket Chandy’s going on in the hallway to replace the boob lights.

Doing this room with Hailee and her amazing husband Mark was such an wonderful experience. It is EXACTLY what an Epic Room Makeover is supposed to be like. And believe it or not when I was driving home from Hailee’s this afternoon after taking pictures I started to cry! I mean, we still have the rest of her house (shhh…don’t tell Mark I said that) AND she lives right down the street; but I have developed such a great love for this family it made me sad that I wouldn’t have an excuse to hang out with them everyday!

After doing the original Epic Room Makeover I learned a lot, after working with Hailee and Mark I don’t feel overwhelmed and exhausted thinking about doing another one. So wait for the announcement in the spring cause an Epic Room Makeover might be coming to your house!

  1. This is seriously amazing! That dresser is killer. I can’t wait to see the tutorial (and there better be a tutorial) because I’m definitely going to be a copy cat on that one.

  2. Totally Amazing! Did just the 3 of you complete this or did you have a team of seamstresses and carpenters to back you up?? That’s a boatload full of work you accomplished! Deb

  3. Mandy, seriously is this a joke?! You are stinking’ amazing! I can NOT believe how awesome this looks… I love it, ALLLLLLL! my house is next. When we ever get to move back to st.g hahah:)

  4. WOW! Just….wow! The new look is amazing! I think the shelves built in to the alcove are inspired, and I can’t believe how good and STRAIGHT the lines on that yarn lampshade look! You did an amazing job!

  5. SHUT UP! That is INSANE! I mean your projects are ALWAYS amazing, but this one blew me away! I think I love every. single. detail. (and now I’m already trying to decide what I can try to replciate in my own home. Amazing!!

  6. Holy amazing craptastic!! Oh my goodness. I almost fell off the computer chair. You should carry insurance for all the people that are going to have heart attacks. This is the best thing I have seen from you YET! And that is really saying something!! I have to go…my heart is pounding…

  7. INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!! I absolutely LOVE the curtain idea, and might have to steal that. Also, what color is the yellow mirror painted?? I am trying to redo a mirror right now in yellow, and that is the perfect color!! Thanks!

  8. This is seriously freaking awesome and along with the last Epic Room Makeover, will serve as inspiration for my bedroom.
    You Rock Mandi!

  9. I have always loved the PVC pipe technique on furniture! I go crazy over it every time I see it. I don’t know who came up with it but they were brilliant. You have pulled it off beautifully! The whole room looks great. I’m narrowing down which chairs I want in my living room and those exact chairs were already on my list along with 2 other aqua/teal fabric choices 🙂 The room looks great!

  10. Wow, Mandi, I’m really impressed! I mean, I’ve enjoyed the things you’ve blogged about before, but this is really something! I wish we didn’t live in a rental so you could come decorate for us (and I love to decorate and arrange, so that’s saying a lot!!)! I’ll definitely vote for you so your kids can get an iPad. 🙂

  11. Let me be consistent and say WOW! I love, love, love this! You are so freakin’ talented. You need to be on TV. What colors are you using? I can not wait on the tutorial.

  12. Don’t even know what to say so:

    !!!!!!!!!!

Unbelievable transformation! You guys did amazing – from the furnishings, “built in” shelves and crazy awesome pops of color. I can only presume the family just cartwheels around the house now, hah.

    AWESOME JOB GUYS! 😀

  13. YOU……yes You…..are an amazing genius. You have talents I dream of at night. I want to be you one day. And how can it be that you are such an inherently GOOD person to boot?

I am so lucky to know you Mands. And I love you like crazy pants. This is AH-MAZING! Like out of this world amazing. And I’m not saying all this so you will come help us with our epic-house makeover in the spring. (although I wouldn’t say no to that) tee hee!

Congrats to you and to Mark and Hailee! Really. So freaking outstanding!

  14. Mandi, you are just CRAZY talented! I know one day I will be saying, “I knew her when…” You’re going to be going places, girl! But first, I need an Epic Home Makeover of my own so when I enter in the spring, rig it for me, mmmmkay? You will love TN. 😉

(ps. Love everything you did here (the PVC was genius!), but I think the yarn lampshade is my fave. Simply beautiful!)

  15. I am utterly and completely JEALOUS!!!!!!!!! I am trying to do my own epic room makeover in my living room. It is not fun by myself and no money. But I am enjoying living vicariously through your post! Love your creative brain!

  16. I have to admit that I hate the hallway paiting. But, I LOVE every other itty bitty detail! I think I’m definitely stealing the rope curtain rod!!!!!

  17. This room is so awesome! You did a great job. There is a lot going on but I like it! If you happen to be in Chicago you are welcome to stop by and do an epic redo in my house!

  18. Mandi, this has got to be the best makeover I have ever seen. Won’t you be my best friend and do my house? I am only half joking. 🙂 LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything you did to brighten Hailee’s house. You are just too talented for your own good!

  19. Hey Mandi! This room is so amazing. I seriously can’t count how many times I have looked at each picture. I want to live there. You are so creative and talented. I would love to live in your brain for just one day. Great job my friend. I’m always so excited to see your work.

  20. Another fantastic room!! I’m dying over so many of the details! Hola ombre lampshade. I’m kindof obessing over you. I can’t wait to see the tutorials. Me thinks I need an epic makeover too!

  21. I AM IN LOVE! I want to personally invite you to come do a room in my house. What do you say? Or if you have a way to steal all hailees stuff and just put it in my house, that would be awesome too. Either way…

  22. Whoa! I literally gasped when I saw the first after pic and then I think my mouth was hanging open and some drooling involved through the rest. Now THAT is an epic makeover!!!! So much awesomeness.

Heidi must be really really be loving your guts right now.

  23. I was expecting cool but not out of this world, jealously gushing, jaw dropping incredible. I’m pretty sure that I read an extra paragraph at the end that said “April, I totally want to come help when Brooke does your house” 🙂 You’re incredible and I think I envy that rug just a little. See you tomorrow…you know I’m comin!

  24. Mandi, You are so so so creative and a genius. I LOVE your originality. Thank you for thinking out of the box on everything you do. I’m so impressed with you! Love this room!

  25. O.M.G. Mandi, you are a true Goddess. Those pictures came straight out of a magazine! You are such an inspiration-thank you for sharing your talents and your Self with us!!!

    Your biggest fan,
    Heather Toone

  26. Wow, what a fun makeover to look at! This one is magazine page ready. My faves are the Bright Yellow Mirror, LOVE that pop of color, and the PVC pipe on the dresser. That is GENIUS! I have a bunch of extra PVC pipes in my garage left over from making a flag for youngest daughter “flag girl” try outs…Now I know what I am doing with them. O.K., I want to know what line you were standing in when God handed out all the decorating/crafting talent. SERIOUSLY, does this talent stop???? Crap you are good is right! Have an awesome weekend.-K

  27. You are seriously AMAZING GIRL. I knew you were the first time a saw one of your projects. You have it!!!
I can’t wait to see where you are at in 5 Years!!! Maybe the next HGTV Star! HugsÜ

  28. 2nd comment – because it’s so awesome…I would love to know what you’ve learend from putting up the board and batten. Did you plan for the TV to fit perfectly below the top line? I’m dying to put up the board and batten in my front room. But I’m skeeerd. I can’t wait for the rug and dresser tutorials! I like how you’ve taken the dark furniture and brightened everything up.

  29. This is magazine quality work. I can’t believe the transportation. You went from cookie cutter to amazing beauty that stands out…in a great way. I’m so excited that you’ll be doing more of these. If you need another best friend, I’m offering my services. 😉

  30. didn’t realize until the final picture that I totally know Hailee…

if you ever run out of spaces you know I don’t live far… although my house doesn’t have “great bones”… I’m not even sure it has “adequate muscles”…

  31. With every new picture I saw it was just OMG! OMG! OMG!
You have so totally outdone yourself your awesome self! That is some crazy-amazing decorating going on there!
Crap, you ARE awesome! Love it!

  32. oh my holy gorgeous! Mandi you’ve done it again, you SO have an eye for this stuff. I desperately need your help/advice/guidance! I SO wish I lived closer and could come to the big sale this weekend! I’m sure it will be a HUGE success!

  33. Mandi, you’ve done it again. NO, you’ve outdone yourself. I keep wondering if you’ll ever run out of ideas but now I know you won’t. The house looks amazing.

What about those cute accent chairs? Did you make those or find them? I love the pop of color they give.

Can your next project be what to do if you have some ginorm walls in your house (like that go up to two story level)? I love the open feel they give to my front room, but they are very blah to look at right now. Can I be your next project please????

  34. Just another comment to say how AHMAZING that turned out! I never comment on blogs. So you, dear Mandi, are spectacular.

  35. Mandi,

Would you please, please, please detail the work on the shelves in the open window? I have that exact issue in my small house that I inhabit with five other souls, so we could really use the oomph and extra shelving…!

The Pier 1 chairs look awesome in the room too!

  36. when i’m able to pick my jaw up off the floor i’ll probably be able to leave a better comment, but for now this is amazing!! i love the wainscoating on the walls… at least i think that’s what it’s called. i’d love a tutorial on that. i’d love to do that in my kitchen but don’t know where to start!

    way to go!! it’s beautiful!

  37. Girlfriend, you have outdone yourself!! My favorite things are the houndstooth rug and the shelves you built into that wasted open space! She must be so elated to have a friend like you!! Nice work. You rock.
p.s. even though I am signed is as Mia, this is your BFF Jilly!

  38. You are AMAZING, Mandy! You have seriously mad creative skills. The room looks stunning! My favorite are the shelves you built in the wall hole thing.

    You are EPIC!

    Natalie

  39. Speechless. You are truly a genius!!!! PVC pipe? Rope curtains?? Can you blog about the thought process for coming up with your AMAZINGNESS????

  40. Mandi – you are a freakin’ genius/rockstar!!! That room looks like it could be in some big name home fashion magazine. Seriously, you are incredible on how you come up with super fashionable decor on a budget. I’m in awe! So inspiring. You should do a book on home how to’s on a budget because you are so creative….ok, I’m getting stalkishly long with my comments so I’ll stop…but seriously, so cool!

  41. Wowzers! Hailee’s living room reveal is Epically Fantabulous! I don’t think I can pick a favorite. There is eye candy everywhere!. Loving the shelves, houndstooth rug, ombre lampshade, the rockin’ dresser turned t.v. stand. A-m-a-z-i-n-g!

I am also way {loving}the blue and white print chairs and would love to hear more about them!!

  42. A-MAZING!!!!! I am just dying to get out of apartment living so we can become friends and you can come help decorate my place 🙂 Haha, seriously, the make-over is incredible and I love everything in the room. I think one of my favorite things were the shelves in the arched opening. Such a good idea!
    You’re fantastic!

  43. I love everything! I think my favorite is the rope for hanging the curtains. Our master bedroom is lighthouses and I’m so using that!

  44. Ummm, that was incredible. I was expecting something really cool, but that was over the top.

It’s not even the same room.

I’m ultra jealous and am for sure wanting an epic makeover on my entire home!

My favorite is the yarn ombre lamp shade. I’m for sure going to work that in somewhere.

  45. Ok this is the most ridiculously, crazy, dramatic transformation I have seen! It doesn’t even look remotely like the old room! Seriously!? You must have lived, breathed & slept at this place to get this done in that time frame ! Great job & your friend must feel like she lives in another house! 🙂 GREAT job!

  46. Man, do I wish you were my bestie!! This is absolutely gorgeous. The chairs are freakin amazing. Love the mirror, the rug, the EVERYTHING.

    Great job!!

  47. I am not ashamed to admit that the words “Shut Up, No Way!!” Actually came out of my mouth when I saw the “after” pic. I was floored. Didn’t think it was the same room at first. Honestly, babe, one of the best Before/Afters I’ve seen ANYWHERE!! I know you were thinking about “Design Star”…hope you auditioned. You are one TALENTED lady!

  48. Mandy faboo job! The teal floral on the chairs, rope curtain treatment and the wall treatments totally rock! And that bright yellow mirror frame beams happiness. Thanks for sharing this. Candy @artofthespa

  49. This is awesome sauce. You rock. There is so much I love about this makeover. I think the funky hallway is my favorite. Hallways are so boring but this is fun. And I love the pops of yellow. That color has really grown on me. The shelving and wall treatment rock. I love the rope curtain ‘rod’ and your use of pvc pipe. We’ll be buying a home next year. Hopefully in time for one of your epic room makeovers. A girl can dream!

  50. okay, i love the yellow mirror. My house is serious need of some color and i’ve already painted (you’ve converted me to krylon) some frames robin egg blue. but i’m thinking i need to add some yellow!!! thanks for the inspiration. i voted for you.

  51. I LOVE the shelving in the open wall. I have the same set-up in my house and I hate the wall. Please add a tutorial on how you built the shelves. It doesn’t look too hard…

  52. This incredibly amazingly gorgeous. The first “after” photo looks like it is from a magazine cover!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it all. Great work. How lucky she is to know you!!!

  53. wow! that room is bananas! seriously, every last detail is stunning! i am in LOVE with that dresser! just wow!!!

are you for hire? ever visiting arizona?

  54. I’ve been lurking on your blog for awhile and this was so fantastic I had to comment. This makeover totally blew me away!! LOVE the archway bookshelf and I am so stealing that yellow mirror for my entryway. Freaking fabulous!

  55. Jaw dropping! This reveal is siiiick! love all the projects, can’t wait to see the tutorials. Filling in that open space in the wall with rustic wood was pure genius

  56. WOWZA!!! OMG!!! That makeover is FABULOUS!!! Can’t wait to see the details on everything….very very pretty. Love the chairs ~ love the pops of color.

I thought you were going to say you started crying cause the room looks soooo good. I would have.

    Great job =)

  57. Thank God and Roses she asked you to help her with the couches! That was one ugly room (sorry to Hailee but I understand- we all started with hand-me-down mixed up furniture that didn’t express our personality). Maybe it wasn’t so ugly but rather it was plain and lifeless. There was no joy in the space and from what I hear, Hailee has a joyful family and deserves a joyful space. LOVE the ombre light shade, the yellow lamps and mirror, and the teal patterned slipper chairs. The shelving, rope hardware, and the hodge podge pillows are terrific. Very clever to balance the photos with vintage maps- where did you get that idea? The tiny hanging fixture painted teal and tucked into a nook is divine. I don’t really like the chevron in the hallway but that is just my taste and I think you did a terrific job executing it. You created a terrific focal point in a hallway- a place normally forgotten and boring. It’s hard to believe you kept almost all the same furniture (minus the TV stand) and yet the “after” is much lighter, airier and beautiful. Great job…I know Haille and her hubby are thrilled with their designer rooms.

  58. I may or may not have just pinned this entire blog post onto my Pinterest… I couldn’t help myself. I was literally drooling all over my keyboard while I read it. 😛

  59. WOW! So, do you think you could come help me “rearrange my furniture”? I could really use some help. 🙂 Great job! I love it all! You have talent girl!

  60. Holy Hannah, that room is jaw-droppingly-can-hardly-breathe-my-eyes-are-even-watering-drop-dead GORGEOUS! Please, please come visit me in North Carolina. Pick any room in my house, and it’s yours. Any. Room.

And I’ll put you up in the guest room for however long it takes…. heck you can come back for vacation to visit it anytime you want afterward too, lol!

Seriously, outstanding job. Love it completely.

  61. Mandi YOU are freaken amazing!! I LOVE it all! The shelves makes all the difference.. and the colors WOW! This honestly looks like a TV show… I can just see you down the road doing these on TV!! Love it all! Oh and I voted! 🙂

  62. So many amazing things I love in this room. The teal/yellow, the rug, the curtain “rod”, the lamp shade. Perfect!
But all I can say is that I need me a little yellow elephant… He’s perfect in that nook!

  63. holy crap I love this living room. Seriously it just blew me away and y’all did an amazing job. When I buy a house one day I am flying you to Texas to help me decorate!

  64. This was amazing, just like everyone has said. Some questions I had were how you decide on the color or palette you go with. Does Hailey say what she wants or do you just have a vision? I loved it all, and wish my hubby didn’t hate striped walls so I could do that hall! He did like a lot of it though, so way to go!!!

  65. To be honest, I’m not loving the funky blue stripe in the hall. I think it’d be better if it was the same beige as the other stripes.

    But everything else is awesome!
    Love the board and batten
Love the PVC pipe on the entertainment center, genius!
Love the picture arrangement above the TV
    LOVE the bright yellow mirror
    Love those blue chairs.
    Love the pendant light
    Love the shelves
And I love how you pulled all the colors in together beautifully.

I also love that you did it all while keeping the builder beige, I’ve been looking for ideas of what to do with a newer house that has builder beige.

  66. Okay it’s a little disgusting how good you are at this! I’ve been following your blog for some time now and I’m so very impressed!
You rocked that rooms socks off! Please come to my sorry house

  67. This has got to be my favorite reveal of yours yet! I’m pretty traditional, so something like this that is just a bit different totally rocks my socks off. And I am in LOVE with what you did with that window space! Those shelves are gorgeous. Amazing job!

  68. Pure genius! This is why I come here! The built ins make a huge difference. Love the PVC. Love the pendant in the niche.

  69. WOW! I’m so glad you did this as a whole reveal. It’s amazing. I’ve been wanting to redo my living room. I want to add color, but still keep it somewhat calming with the neutrals. I didn’t think it was possible, but you did an amazing job of proving me wrong. I love this! Can you come live with me for a few weeks? I’ve got some brothers-in-law who can work on it that owe us big time! And, I”m pretty dang crafty if I do say so myself! Wonderful work. I’m sure Hailey smiles so big every morning when she walks in to her living room. Thank you for sharing your talents with the rest of us!

  70. Seriously so amazing, I’ve been reading your blog for a while and I am blown away by your talent! Awesome!

  71. I am sitting here with my jaw on the desk!!! Amazing!!! Uber fun and total personality! I can’t wait to see all the little projects that went in to the room as a whole! I just found your blog and it was instantly put into my bookmarks (I know, that made your day;) Look forward to more!

  72. Ohhh, my goodness! This is a wonderful makeover. I like the new ceiling fan. May I ask what brand?

    Selina

  73. This is ridiculous! When are you coming to Wisconsin and how do I sign up? I hope you are submitting this to whatever people who turn mediocre into insane fabulousness submit things to.

  74. Can I just say I FREAKING love this makeover!! I love all of your ideas that you have, but this is amazing! Someday when I own my own house I would love to do something like this! Love it!!

  75. This is AMAZING!!! You are so talented. Also, I was watching Fringe while I looked at these pictures, and when I saw the “ship shape” pillow, all I could think of was “shape shifters”….eeek!

  76. I want to see how you made those shelves. I have similar “hole” in my wall. I wish you could come over to my house. I tried to add some color to my big open room and it turned into a crazy circus.

  77. How did you build those shelves in the window area? I can kind of see how you did some of it, but it’s tricking me out. I have a window exactly like that that would be beautiful with shelves!

  78. Shut right up, right now. I love it and i want it. I always want to know the breakdown of cost, bc this all looks really expensive. ?? I want this room.

  79. Where did you get the awesome mirror that you painted yellow? Please don’t say DI… my DI in provo NEVER has anything good like that!

  80. I want this living room. Now. I love love LOVE the curtain “rod”, those chairs are to die for, that rug, that lamp, the SHELVES!!!! Swoon. It’s all fantastic, you have outdone yourself miss Mandi.

  81. This is absolutely amazing!! I am in love with the chairs, the dresser, and of course – those stripes!! (seriously considering stripes for my hallway now!) I wish I had a “hole” in my wall to fill it in with shelving like that, pure genius!

  82. The room is so beautiful and bright now! I love everything about it!!! You are so talented! You really inspire me! 🙂 The dresser is probably my favorite thing! Great job!

  83. Two words. Design. Star. Seriously, I hope you autditioned! (I know it would be hard to leave your kids for that long, but you seriously have the talent to make it happen!!!)

This is my favorite room I’ve ever seen from you. I can’t wait to see your tutorials. You’re amazing!

  84. Seriously this should be your job, that way it can pay for your hoard (and a storage unit to keep the hubs happy) and I can see even more awesome makeovers. Your passion is pure genius. BRAVO.

  85. Wow! Epic is right! I love how the room has a mix of styles and patterns so that it looks collected over time. You would never know this makeover was done in one fell swoop.

Seriously… this might be the best makeover I’ve seen in blogland.

    Kudos on a great job.

  86. This room is so gorgeous. It literally looks like the Afters came straight out of a shelter mag. Love, love, love it!

  87. Just pinned the heck out of this makeover! So amazing~~ Really needing the shelf tutorial..have one of those boring openings…so fabulous!!!!

  88. The ombre yarn lamp (not shade)…was that a deconstructed one and if so, please describe making that! It looks soo neat!
    Thanks
    Elise

  89. Wow! Just WOW!! You rock my socks and this is the best makeover I’ve ever seen! I love your blog so much, and this is why! You keep it real, with REAL projects that YOU want to do! I seriously love you and your creativeness! The room is beautiful.

  90. love, love, LOVE it!!! I want my room to look like this! It’s so gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us – and for all of the ideas and tutorials.

I’m dying over the rug! I see that it was painted (but couldn’t tell until you pointed it out!) I was like “ok, where did she get the rug. I want it!” I would love to know how you got the houndstooth stensil. Thanks!!

  91. just had to stop and tell ya how much i am in love with every last detail of this room!! you rocked it!! anytime you want to come makeover a vegas house…. we’ll be here!
    jen 🙂

  92. I can’t believe how you transformed this space! This is amazing. I love DIY projects, but I lack the creativity. I can’t wait to hear all your ideas.

  93. Quick question…what color is the beigey paint on the top portion of the wall? LOVE EVERYTHING!!

  94. That is the best and most awesome makeover I’ve seen. What a fabulous job, everything works. I’m so impressed. New follower here!!

  95. Okay, Mandi. I’ve been following your blog for a long time (prior to the TWO times you were on The Nate Berkus Show, thankyouverymuch). I tried to comment but didn’t have a fancy “identity” so I wasn’t allowed to leave a comment. On other blogs I stop right there and just lurk.

HOWEVER, this room reveal singlehandedly caused me to sign up with a Google account just so I could write to you. Usually your style is quite a bit more ornate than mine, but this transformation almost made me poop my pants! LOVE IT! I love your guts too. xo

  96. Where was I when you first posted this, Mandi-girl??? Oh my golly heck…Mandi…you are truly amazing. This room transformation is out of this world…words cannot describe just how beautiful I think it is…

Howie ’bout you jump on a plane and head to Chicago (I’ll even pick you up at the airport…;)) and spend a month or two here and fix up my stuff???

    You are amazing.

  97. I know everyone says it, but I TRULY have been reading you foreva. Mad props for the makeover. Just curious, did you win the iPad? Your entry was by far the best. I looked on the site, but couldn’t find who won and you haven’t mentioned it….

  98. Will you pretty pretty pretty pleeeeeaaaassseee with a cherry on top come do my house????? I would love some supa funk in my casa! I’m TOTALLY entering in the spring! mmmmkay?!?!? And I will win….mmmmmkay?!?!? hee hee Love it to bits!

  99. I absolutely love everything about this look! My
Husband wants to buy a leather sofa and chair an I was very apprehensive at first because I thought it would look cold but sure you do make it it look warm and cozy and I I’ve the pops of yellow! Do you know where she bought the leather sofa?

  100. Mandi,
You never cease to amaze me! Love your work, ever since I saw you on Nate Berkus:) Waiting for you to have your own show one day, but until then we are all lucky to have your blog!!! Posting your stuff on my pinterest so more people can see your talent. Happy Holidays!

  101. I saw you on the Nate Berkus Show today and all I could say the entire segment was “WOW!” You truly have a gift. I feel so inspired to get working on my house again! Thank you!

  102. OH WOW!!! I remember seeing this, but didn’t remember the yellow mirror. I’ve been thinking since we chatted the other day…what about a bright board and batten on bottom and white walls on top with colorful frames all about on the white and stenciled ceiling? Gotta think if I’m brave enough to to a hot pink board and batten on the bottom…or maybe turq. or purple?

  103. Hi Mandi! I’m brand new to your blog and I am in LOVE!!!! My husband is falling too! We have a “window” between our kitchen and our living room just like the one in this makeover. As soon as we both saw the shelves you built in it, we KNEW we had to do it to ours! For some reason though, the link to that tutorial seems to be broken. Is there anywhere else I could find out how you did that?? Thank you so much!
