Have you ever been just a minute to late for something that you loved?
In all my time thrifting and craigslisting there was only one thing that got away that has stuck with me. They were these awesome barstools. The base was cast iron and they looked like they were from an old ice cream parlor. I fill forever kick myself for not calling sooner on them, cause I had the chance and didn’t.
Yesterday I found a dresser to add to the list of “what might have been”

HA! There was a mirror last week at the thrift store. I decided I didn’t “NEED” it — no where to put it, etc. I dreamt about the thing for TWO nights. Went back — it was gone…sigh…
do you know what is worse, moving… because I’m watching both my current town and my future town on craigslist and can’t buy from either because I don’t want to move it or I’m not there to get it!

I passed up a mirror at DI on Monday – went back Tuesday after deciding it would totally fit after all… and gone… of course! Now I just can’t envision anything else in that same space 🙁

I can see why you are sad, I would be too. I still regret not calling for the 10 or 12 birdhouses made of gourds. Five bucks for the lot! I didn’t know what to do with that many bird houses. By the time I thought “Who Cares?”, they were gone.
I’ve lost so many good stuff on CL due to timing and it always makes me sad!
I have a veryyy similar dresser to this but in black. I’ve been thinking about painting it yellow and this is a great inspiration!

I need to remember to Craigslist more.. I found a huge long faux drawer front shelf that is over 7 feet long… Since then I haven’t been on CL. Thanks for the reminder. Sorry you lost out on some loves.
