In order to curb the bajilion questions that I am going to get from the next post I am going to share I wanted to prep everyone.
Did you know that Krylon (BEST SPRAY PAINT EVER!) has top secret colors?
Well, they arent really top secret but they arent carried in stores.
I swear the people at Krylon have a tap on my brain, they always carry the EXACT color that I am dreaming of.
My fave at the moment is Coral Isle.

Krylon colors are distrubuted by region. For example in Michigan they might have Coral Isle on the shelves but in Utah it is no where to be found.
So what do you do if you REALLY want a color that is not available to you?
You have a few options.
1. You can buy it online. Not my favorite option. Shipping spray paint is expensive.
2. You can accept the fact that you might never in your mortal life see the color Coral Isle irl.
3. You can find a way to get it to you for FREE!!
Which option would you choose?
That’s what I thought.
So here is how it works:
Krylon is owned by Sherwin Williams. Awesome right?
Who has a Sherwin Williams paint store in there town? All you need to do is call them and ask them to special order your color. It took 2 days for mine to arrive. No extra charge. Ba-BAM!
I don’t know if there is a minimum # of cans. I ordered 6 Coral Isle and let me tell you I am guarding it with my life.

Good to know. I sometimes do see some of these colors in stores here but my favorite spray paint is their Dover White. It’s the perfect creamy white for painting everything. Sometimes I can’t find it and when I see it I buy all I can. So good to know that I can order it at Sherwin Williams. Thanks!

I love that coral color, and I LOVE Catalina Mist. I used it last year on something and I think I found that color at Hobby Lobby? I wish Krylon would have more colors everywhere!

Shut UP! I had no idea. I Lurve that Catalina Mist color–Ocean Blue is the closest I’ve found but wasn’t exactly what I wanted but I didn’t know I had any other options. Loving that coral color too…thanks for the top secret info!
Oh GREAT! Now I can’t live without Mountain View and I live in the freakin’ middle of nowhere- not a Sherwin Williams for 60 miles. I can’t decided if I love your or hate your right now! (Ok, I love you, but argh!)
I found 4 cans of Totally Tangerine at my local HOBO (home owners buyers outlet) store for … wait for it!!!… .99 a can!!!

I love Krylon spray paint so much! I think I buy at least 2 cans a week. My favorite color is Blue Ocean Breeze. I try to paint everything that color…. But I NEED, like seriously NEED that coral color.

Ok, why do you love Krylon so much? I have to admit I despise it! I feel like it just does NOT cover well, has a tendency to bubble, and comes off easily. What am I doing wrong? Do you prime everything first? What primer? I feel like when I use primer I can never get the primer covered really well.
When you paint a frame, how do you do it? DO you lay it flat? prop it up? I usually put mine up on spray paint lids. Krylon seems to really not like being tilted though. I would love to know how to make it work better because they do have awesome colors!

Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you! I hope there are one of those near me. I am so excited. after checking millions of Walmarts I finally found a Coral Isle at Joanns. But it was about 8 dollars 🙁 I am so excited now!
that is so odd, i was just really upset that I can’t find the tangerine color up here in Cedar City and was going to drive down there to st george for it. Guess I wont. The ACE and Home Depot here in Cedar both carry the Coral color. I think wal-mart does too. I was a little aggravated because I wanted the tangerine and couldn’t find it anywhere, just tons of the coral color. Thanks for the Sherwin Williams tip though! I will call them today and have them order the tangerine for me. I want that catalina mist too!
ohmygosh! This is so ironic that you posted this because I’ve been searching for that exact color (coral isle) for 3 weeks now and I can’t find it anywhere, (i do live in utah) except online and i hate paying extra shipping so I won’t do it! Oh man, I’m calling sherwin williams..TODAY! i love you…you are the best!

I have a question for you. Minefield wants me to cover up a wall of wallpaper in her room but I can’t paint. I don’t want to spend a butload in fabric either. Any ideas??

I wish I lived by your Sherwin Williams. All of the ones by me up here in Salt Lake…shall we say SUCKTASTIC!!! I called to order mine and they told me they would not let me buy just the 6 I wanted. They would have to charge me for the whole box which is 12 and then they wanted to charge me shipping on top of that. You live in St. George…right??? Cause I have family down there and would not even hesitate to use that store. Let me know!

Thank you for sharing this! I was looking for a certain color for a project I want to do, and after doing some google searching I found that the spray paint was Catalina Mist. I have been looking at all my stores and thought I was going crazy because I couldn’t find it! Now I know how. 🙂
Catalina Mist is my favorite. I had originally planned to use it on some old chairs but couldn’t bare to waste it. Glad the color made your radar as well 🙂
Holy Cow! I’ve been searching EVERYWHERE for Krylon’s Coral Isle paint but I can’t find it in any store in my city. I mentioned to my husband that they may only have it in certain regions and he said “that doesn’t sound logical”. HA! I guess I wasn’t so “illogical”. I’ll have to see if I can get it ordered here.
