So I didnt win the Studio 5 contest. I am bummed but, whatever is supposed to happen does. I know that I tried my hardest and that I still am awesome. Not that I am bitter or anything, but I am seriously shocked. (This is the part where you say “Mandi, seriously you were waaaaay better than them.” )  But I did have over 1000 people vote for me. And I am also so shocked about that. So I have decided to do a giveaway to say THANKS!!
Here is the prize:

One of these craptastic chairs!
Do you love them? Cause I do!FYI: It is just one of the chairs. I cant part with both…sorry!

You have 3 chances to win!
Here are the 3 ways to enter:
1. Leave a comment on this post letting me know that you voted.
2. Become a Follower of Vintage Revivals and let me know that you are (or if you already Follow let me know that too.)
3. Go and do a Random Act Of Kindness and come back and tell us about it!
Make sure that when you leave a comment you either have your blogger profile active or leave your email address so I can contact you if you win!
The giveaway will end Sunday at Midnight. I can only ship to the continental US (Sorry Rhiannon my BB in HI.)  Thanks everyone for your support!

  1. that is so great that you got so many votes! i love your positive attitude! i did vote, and i do follow. i also held the door for a lady today pushing a stroller and she was so surprised that i waited to hold it for her! not really act of kindness but more a general rule of being polite that most people have forgotten to follow!

  9. Mandi, I so voted for you. And guess what. Seriously, you were waaaaaaay better than them. 🙂 No, I mean that though. I watched the videos. Well, I tried to, but I couldn’t make it even halfway through most of them. Who was it that won??? I’m kind of surprised too. When I voted, you were in the lead! 🙂

  10. oh, i am bummed! i voted for you and you were in the lead. ah well- your time in the spotlight will come soon!

If I win this chair, I am going to give it to my friend because she has been searching forever for these kind of chairs.

  13. HEY FABULOUS BBS (Best Bloggy Sista!) I CANNOT believe you didn’t win! SERIOUSLY? I know it’s totally cheesy, but, you will always be a winner in my eyes!

  14. I’m a new follower. I wish I could win the chairs, but I don’t live in the US, so I’m not an candidate, booh 🙁

But I voted for you and think that you should have won.

You’re very very welcome to pay my brandnew blog a visit 🙂

  15. I voted! ( i voted like 10 times, every time in checked your blog. he he) 1000 votes is awesome. You totally should have won!

Great Give away! hope i win.

    ~Cami

  16. I follow, I voted, & I helped a little old man find his way in the hospital today….there I covered all 3 criterion! Mandi I seriously love these chairs and I LOOOOOOVVVEEEE your blog! You have inspired me to be a crazy junk collector (which my neighbors are probably loving right now)!! Keep up the excellent work. I look forward to all your future posts!

  17. Hahahaha! Of course as soon as I saw this I thought… hmmm will she hand deliver these to me all the way over here?! Either way I just luv them and I’ll just copy yours and make my own! LOL And I’ll be happy to do a random act of kindness!!!
    have a great day!!!

  18. Mandy, first of all, you are so incredibly talented and you share a lot of tips and tricks with those of us who follow you… so studio 5 is unfortunately going to be missing out! I just finished my collection of tea cups… I think I am going to paint and fire them with porculaine paint for my upcoming GIANT clock! I will show you the final product. And, I loved your foil nightstand, so I think I am going to do my headboard in gold foil because my room is all metalics… it is kinda down the projects list but I will get you a picture of that as well (do you think it will hold up on a headboard?) Thanks for being an inspiration! Oh and I laughed pretty hard when I got on to watch the videos and discovered my husbands old girl friend was a competitor, hands down you deserved the vote! Random act of kindness… today I haven’t been able to leave the house yet because I have a giant bed frame and other goodies in the car and my little one can’t get in her seat until my hubbie gets home and I take the stuff to goodwill (and I guess that is an act of kindness…donating.) So, yesterday my random act of kindness was to organize 90 women and get them information for 16 community service projects that they will be a part of in the next 6 weeks! And I suppose I will officially follow you as a “follower” since I use a lot of your ideas!

  19. I voted! I am a follower! I made a cake yesterday for Sunday dinner, and put it into 2 small pans with the intentions of giving one away! Today I just kept looking at it, and then I read your challenge of a random act of kindness, and I got off my duff and took it to my neighbor!

  20. My Act of Kindness is sharing the yummy dinners I make to much of with my lovely neighbor! Her and her hubby and two kids are lucky to have me as their neighbor! WINKS! jen

  21. I am NOT a creative person. I try, and I fail. I voted for you because you made everything look attainable for someone like me. I was looking forward to seeing you and am bummed you will not be gracing the TV screen, but am happy to have found your blog! Thank you!

  22. Random act of kindness:
I am making cookies for my hubby tonight! He had a very successful day today and he deserves a treat!!
He is starting his own business and as of today he is just a couple steps closer to opening!!! woohoo!
Thanks again for the giveaway, YOU ROCK!

  23. You know I voted for you! I watched too, and I was bummed, I thought that you were the funnest person to watch because you are so energetic, and you had the most unique ideas!! You could totally just start your own show! I would be a follower of that!!
Great job anyway!! When one door closes another always opens!! no worries!

  24. I watch my moms dogs for her while she works and her and my dad are tired after the long day of work so I made them home made beef stew and rolls. She was so happy when she came to pick up her dogs that she did not have to go home and cook!

  25. My random act of kindness was taking meals to a friends house that is sick and her hubby works a lot, so I made her kids their favorite meal! (probably not as much their favorite as when their mom makes it…but I tried!)
I also picked up trash on the side of the road! YUCK!
P.S. I LOVE LVE LOVE those chairs, I don’t know how you will part with them!! I hope I get them though!! 😉

  26. Yeah, I checked the poll the other day and saw that you were behind. I was surprised because I thought you were definitely the best, and when I voted you were winning by a large margin. I guess one of those ladies has a lot of friends or a lot of blog followers or something.

Are those chairs crapalicious or cutealicious? either way I want one. 🙂

    -Alissa

  27. So…..You already know that I am a follower and OF COURSE I voted for you and you should know that I am your #1 fan!!!!!!! You are AWESOME and should of totally took the win and we all know it….but sometimes boring people have to win I guess:(
But me and I know a lot of others LOVE your work! You are SO talented and I love to see what you are working on next! Love ya girl!!!

  28. Dude, your blog is sure getting popular! And I’m so sorry you didn’t win 🙁 But I would love to win one of your awesome crapalicious chairs!! I voted for you, I follow you, and I was silly with my kids tonight instead of yelling at them. How’s that for random acts of kindness?1

  29. And I’m organizing a community garage sale with little to no help and no funds ~ that’s GOT to be an act of kindness! 🙂

  30. Those chairs are so fun! By the way, I just read your newest post and I think the tinfoil looks amazing and I would’ve never thought of that.

  31. I am guilty of being directed to you from lifehacker! I am totally addicted now..not only to you, but to all “project” blogs. I have totally been inspired and love doing projects. I did go over to vote for you on studio 5..and I love the chairs! Keep posting great things, because I will keep reading! 🙂

  32. Jayme C: I met a lady up here that is having trouble decorating her living room with all her garage sale finds. So I’ve been spending some spare time helping her out. Still lots of work to do, but I’m looking forward to seeing the end result.

  33. Entry Tres…(that is 3 in spanish) I voted for you…twice…then I found out it only worked once from my computer… so I quit voting after that.

  34. And you can bet your bottom I voted . . .I was campaigning for you . . . I told all my clients, friends and co-workers to get on and vote!!!! So bummed you didn’t win 🙁

  35. As for my Random Act of Kindness . . . My wonderful co-worker is turning 50 saturday and to ensure that she feels like a million bucks, I’m gonna give her a rockin makeover in the hair dept. She thinks she’s comin over to help me with a “project”. I hope she is surprised when she discovers my “project” is her…hehehe

  36. Is it too late to win the chairs???? I just found you this morning and I became a follower. I LOVE this blog!! I just moved to southern Utah myself…where abouts are you so I can stalk you??? 🙂

  37. I Voted for you and think you are really amazing. I am a real follower and love how creative you are. I did an act of Kindness. A close friend and neighbor is going through a separation and most likely divorce. I went to Rod Works and bought her a container and filled it with candy for her and her kids and took it over and just sat and talked and cried and told her I was there for her. I love your Chairs. I hope I win. I can’t wait to see you on Studio 5. You GO GIRL!

  38. T/he Random Act of Kindness I did today, was offer advice to my sister who lives in Fla. Her baby was running a temp of 105 and she wasn’t getting anywhere with the pediatrician on call. We discussed the situation, and her temp has come down, so my sister is feeling relieved.

  39. i already follow 🙂 voted for you on studio 5, so bummed you didn’t get it. my act of kindness this week was doing a free photo shoot for my cousin who just had a new baby. she can’t afford to pay. would love a chair to use as a photo prop 🙂

  40. That is total crap that you didnt’ win. 🙂 Now I’m bugged that I didn’t vote! I love all your new projects!
    I am a follower though.

  41. I guess this could count…it’s not a random act, but I packed up all my little boys clothes and sent them to my brother and sister-in-law, so they don’t have fork out money to buy winter clothes for their little boy.

  42. Hi! I am following you in Google Reader.. does that work?

I gave away a photoshoot to a needy family in my church.. it wasn’t planned. It’s random, and kind, right? 😉

So that’s 2. I didn’t see this in time to vote for ya.. sorry!

  43. Um, just wanted to remind you that I just moved here….locally. So it would be VERY convenient for me to take these chairs off your hands!!! Seriously though…pick me.

  44. I LOVE your blog!! I actually attempted to do the tin foil mod podge thing today! It turned out FABOLOUS!! You inspire me! 🙂 My random act of kindness today was surprising my mom {who’s been having a bad week} with a spa day on me!!

  45. I am posting TWICE! I have become a regular follower and you have really inspired and got me looking for great deals. This weekend I bought a dresser and two chairs for $20 at the flea market and i have been addicted to looking at fabric for the chairs to find the perfect match for the chairs.

    PICK ME! 🙂

  46. We voted over and over for you. We would love to help you find some more crap so you can turn it into craperific decor. Plus we love your kids.

  47. Me and my mom spend six hours a day doing good deeds and making people happy at our respective schools. If that is not randomly craptastic then I don’t know what is.

  48. gave our garden leftovers to the neighbors – – but let me tell you about how I was a RECIPIENT of a random act – – – on vacation at a beach known for finding shark teeth, we couldn’t find any – a nice man got a handful he had collected from previous days out of his car, came back, gave it to us, and let us strategically place them so our kids could “find” some shark teeth – awesome!

  49. Hmmm, random act of kindness…
I do a lot of nice things for people, but I think the most giving one is providing free childcare to a few families with children with nursing needs due to Cerebral Palsy. I act as their back up incase they have a sitter fall through

I love the projects you have up, I am considering a bit of a copy by putting some mirrors on my bedroom dresser like you did.
